We consider it a privilege and a joy to care for your kids. It is a responsibility we take seriously. Our desire is to provide your child with a safe, secure and loving environment where they can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We consider ourselves as partners with you in the joys and challenges of Biblical parenting and instruction.
At GraceSLO, we're committed to both "age-integrated" and "age-segregated" learning. What does that mean?
On the one hand, we're committed to encouraging parents and children to worship and learn together by attending our worship services together. We call this "Family Worship." So bring your kids to worship with you at GraceSLO. You will not be alone when you do.
At the same time, we're committed to an excellent and multi-faceted Children's Ministry where children learn, grow and have fun in settings that are geared for them.
Safety is Our Highest Priority
We know if you're worried, you won't be able to worship. We take the safety of all kids extremely seriously. All of our classes are staffed by loving and caring teachers who have gone through our extensive screening and fingerprinting process. No child is ever left alone with a single adult. Our personal paging system allows parents to worship worry-free while their 0-3 year old child is in a safe, loving and nurturing environment.
Sunday School Classes
We offer Sunday School during both services for 2 year olds through kindergarten with each service using a different curriculum for those staying for more than one service. For 1st through 6th graders we offer a Gospel-centered Sunday School program during the 9:00 am service. Each grade level is separated and taught from the Desiring God curriculum as we assist parents in leading their children to trust Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Special Programs, Activities & Events
His Image Children's Choir
We have a children’s choir during the school year for grades 3 through 6. It was created for children to learn to give worth back to God through song, and to humbly lead the body of believers in the praise and worship of God.
AWANA
Our AWANA Clubs meet on Tuesday evenings during the school year from 6:15-8:00 p.m. This excellent program for ages three years to 6th grade (Cubbies, Sparks, Truth & Training) encourages scripture memorization in a fun-filled atmosphere.
Vacation Bible School
This is a week long summer program for K-4th grade students. There is singing, drama, crafts, games and an awesome Bible time.
Junior Day Camp
This is a week long summer program for kids going into 5th & 6th grades. The kids complete a service project and become grounded in Biblical Truth while having fun at the beach, waterslides, Boomers & bowling.
Grace Summer Nights
On several Tuesday nights during the summer our church family comes together for some fun packed evenings! Each evening we have dinner, worship and lots of fun! Some nights wil be filled with great teaching and other nights will simply be out at the beach! Whether you have little ones or are an empty nester, there is something for everyone!
